The Order of the Eastern Star is the largest fraternal organization in the world open to both men and women. Master Masons in good standing and women with specific Masonic family relationships are eligible for membership. Based on heroic biblical examples, the Order focuses on charity, truth, character building, and loving kindness.

Membership Eligibility

Membership is open to affiliated Master Masons in good standing, as well as their wives, daughters, legally adopted daughters, mothers, widows, sisters, half-sisters, granddaughters, stepmothers, stepdaughters, stepsisters, daughters-in-law, grandmothers, great-granddaughters, nieces, great-nieces, mothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and daughters of sisters.

Philanthropic Projects & Youth Groups

• International Peace Garden: Members actively support the Eastern Star Chapel located on the boundary between North Dakota and Manitoba, Canada through a dedicated maintenance fund.

• Youth Leadership Support: The Order proudly sponsors and supports Masonic youth organizations, including the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, Job’s Daughters International, and the Order of DeMolay.
